An early component of the university’s Capital Planning Transformation initiative was restructuring the committees that support capital planning to strengthen governance, delineate authority, and drive process efficiency.
Effective April 14, 2026, the Executive Strategic Planning Committee (ESP) was established to replace the former Executive Committee for Buildings, Facilities, and Space. The ESP leads the strategic alignment of facilities, space, and funding decisions with institutional priorities as outlined in the 2030 Strategic Plan. The ESP is supported by a newly-formed Institutional Capital Planning Committee (ICPC), which integrates the various advisory work groups into a single point of collection for strategic evaluation and purposeful consideration.
Additionally, the Campus Infrastructure Planning Work Group (CIPWG) continues to ensure infrastructure projects are aligned with the university’s land use plan.
